Irresponsible owners are giving our babies a bad name. These stories are just awful and my prayers go out to the infant and toddler that it happened to......

The only part that really makes me mad is in the first story it begins with saying the "pitbull type dog". Wow, if it was mixed with a lab or whatever, why cant they say the "lab type dog"??? Huh, something to ponder.

The second story made me mad too... Trained to attack??? Dogs trained to attack don't go around attacking baby's sleeping in their beds... I'm sorry they don't... Possibly the dog thought the baby was a toy??? Prey item??? MOST children killed by dogs are killed because the dog thinks it's a prey item or toy.... Dogs are dogs are dogs...they dont' know any better...owner of the dogs should have been more vigilant...if I had a baby staying in my home my dogs would be crated or outdoors kenneled... no doubt about it...no question no testing etc... MY baby is s different story a guest though... Our guests who express concern over the dogs don't even see them when their in our home... no reason to frighten them if they don't want to be etc...

my thoughts exactly! My brother just had a son and he is 4 months old. I wont let Avary even near the baby when he comes over. Do I think Avary will hurt him....no. But the fact is, she could unintenially hurt him or, like you said, a dog is a dog. You never know!

if it was a APBT or Amstaff then fine, say Pitbull. But the dog was a mutt....yes, a mutt. So they should find out what breed of dog is in him and say all those 'types'. Why ONLY Pitbull got pointed out is obvious though. Such nonsense.

gotta put the Pitbull type in there huh?? my question is.. was the door open?? how did the dog get in there?? and how does a dog jus take a baby from right under the parent?? my sister and mom sleep with my lil nephew all the time, and you couldnt even touch him without either of them wakin up.. a lot of things werent done right.. Pitbull type is jus for the ratings.. newspapers dont care how much damage they do to the breed..
