ive always hoped for one of those special bonds people have between their animals. you know the type where your dog knows exactly what your thinking and understands you? ive tried as hard as i could to make kuma my 'heart' dog but no amount of kisses and cuddles could make her one. as she gets older ive come to the realise that she really does not give a stuff about me. most importantly, it makes me really sad that she cant sense when im sick. it doesnt take a genius to work out when im sick because im lying down gasping for air and moaning in pain! either she just doesnt get it, or she does but doesnt care. it makes me so jealous of people who do have a special connection with their dogs. my cat however, i do have a special connection with. when im sick she always comes to snuggle with me and will stay by my side as long as i need her there. if i moan in pain she comes bolting into my room to see whats wrong and only leaves if i give her the ok.

anyone else have a dog like kuma?

I used to think my honijade was like your dog but she turned out to be a heart dog. Our Monty could care less though, unless you're petting on him he really doesn't want a whole lot to do with you sick or well. I mean he loves people and to be near but other than getting mad at Andy for tickling me or something (seems threatening to me) he doesn't care a lick. It is a hard situation when you want a dog to care... In time you'll find that heart dog though. What kind of dog is she?
