Rock 101 KLOL- Bashing breed

I'm a loyal listener to KLOL, the walton and johnson morning show. But today they really pissed me off.

They bashed and bashed and flat out lied about pitts. Lorna their traffic lady (who s**k might I add anyway) was bitten by "What appeared to be a pitt bull"

Oh it started a riot, and they just fueled the flames! I tried to call in, but couldn't get through the flooded lines of people bashing them as well.

There were the few that tryed to stick up for them, but they were ridiculed and litterally hung up on on LIVE AIR!!!

Oh that just royaly pissed me off.

Yeah, it made for a good radio show. It's all about the ratings you know. Email them and tell them their radio show probably cost some deserving Pit or Pit/Mix His or Her life by not being adopted. Better yet, I'll see if I can't find their website, (all radio stations have a website,) and we can ALL email them.

Don't people like these guys realize or care about how many people they reach with their words?? They have probably never even given a pit a chance! If they had they would know they were spouting pure stupidity!! I E-mailed them a rather long nasty letter trying to explain how this kind of media hype has gotten this awesome breed the unfair rep they endure today. Rolling Eyes

,but guys like them don't care-so they probably won't even remember the show in a couple of days. Once again it's the innocent pitties that will suffer. Crying or Very sad

I just got a response email from Walton & Johnson. They said I was stupid and naive and they don't serve the Phoenix area, so my opinion doesn't matter to them. I replied that I was glad they're not in the PHX area because they're IDIOTS!

They were talking about all they hype they got in responce to the pitt discussion!!!! They were talking about how naive "those people are" and stupid. I quit listening. They are funny on some subjects, but this one really blows.

Its really sad that they act in this way. You know, they are leniant to other things, and usually see both sides of the river, but on this one, they are sooo ignorant.

SO this morning, They are continuting with the bashin of the breed.
This one guy called in and said " I know more beagles in my neighbor hood that have attacked more than the whole pitt community put together!!

SO their idiotic statement was: " Yeah but if a pitt bites you, you die." Not true.

Then he commented to them stating that a beagle killed a lady, and another one ripped her eyelid off.

SO they continued on saying how if a chi was to bite them, they could "kick it to the highway" and if a pitt bit them, they would come back without a leg, and the pitt would have a trophe.

How stupid.

I'm thinking of taking a pitt up there, letting them koo all about it, then tell them what it is! I emailed them the test, bet they failed!!!!

IF pitts were sooooo bad, then why is it they use them in movies like the little rascals, the dog on the old pulterguiest (sp??) are pitts......hmmmmm intresting....

There are also lots of famous people who own pitbulls. I was watching the pet psychic the other day and stars were asking questions about their dogs and was amazed at how many owned pitbulls.
The people who put on the radio show are just Uneducated Morons!
They are part of the reason the breed has such a bad rep just another media outlet spewing false hoods!

These guys are so stupid. Don't they stop to think that Advertisers are the reason they get a pay-check? Didn't they ever think that just maybe one of their station's biggest Advertisers may just own a Pit Bull? I like to see that one come back and BITE them.

I hate to get in the middle of this, since I'm not a pit owner. And I do agree with what you the point of view being expressed here.

I want to point out that the "shock jocks" probably don't believe what they are saying and are just trying to get a reaction. They choose thier topics based on what will stir people up and get the best ratings, and the best word of mouth advertising. They dream of forums like this where we sit around talking about how much we hate them becuase in reality the more we talk about it the more we listen and our friends listen and so on.

In a while they'll get tired of this topic and start screaming that some other things is horrible and evil and start spreading lies and propaganda about whatever is the pop-news topic of the week. And a different group of people will be outraged and call in and want to boycot the show and so on.

That's so true. But this topic is costing a potential APBT or a Pit/Mix from being adopted. Some people are just like sheep, whatever the media or a radio personality is saying at the time, they take as gospel. These two people don't have a clue as to what they're talking about. I was hoping this topic was over the first day they were discussing it. It's now the third. Either they've run out of stupid things to discuss, or else they're trying to forse their point in response to all the people who were outraged about their tirade.
