Hi Auspetian. I was looking forward to seeing this video you posted. Cassie had actaully posted about this story:

http://www.auspet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15871

But it was so good to see it on video! It was very touching to see it happen on the screen. It pretty much proves how well they do remember everything and everyone. Such a good story. I was surprised to see that his 'wife' was friendly with them too.

Thank you for posting this. It brought a big smile to my face. Very Happy

Me too Bente. I've seen the videos hundreds of times and even watched the original documentary and I still cry every time. It's really beautiful, isn't it?

I saw this from the original post and it keeps bringing tears to my eyes animals have an amazing memory!!! they will remember how people treat them. Christian remembered that they saved him and treated him good and gave him the life he should have!!! Such a wonderful story I wish more animals got such a happy ending.

Exactly. They remember everything and they have feelings...deep feelings. I too was amazed to see how friendly the 'wife' was.

I am sorry Cassie, I seem to have missed your original post. On any case, this is such a great story/video, it was well worth the double post Smile .

It's an amazing story with amazing video! It's definitely worth posting over and over again! Christian has inspired preservation of wildlifes. Ace Bourke and John Randall are silver haired now and are still very involved in supporting conservation.

The documentary was released with another title, Christian the Lion at Worlds End which was in full color and better quality but I'm having a hard time finding the full vid.
