I just finally made the plunge into SLR digital photography and bought a Nikon D40. The first thing that struck me is how fast the shutter reacts. In fact, in one setting, it will take three frames per second.
Here is my first photo of Freckles swimming at the dog park. Sorta looks like a freckle faced Grizzly Bear hunting for fish. Laughing

great picture, I want a new camera, that is what I hate abou mine teh shutteer spped so slow, you cant captue anything moving

I have the D50! I LOVE the digital SLR's... If you want to capture motion a digital SLR is the way to go!







And that was all in really low light!

What a great photo Dukesdad! My uncle suggested I get a Nikon but it was a little out of my price range for what I wanted...I ended up getting a Sony H50 and so far so good.
