we recently got a little 3 month Weimaraner pup and are a little worried about her.
When we got her she had Kennel Cough so we kept her in a playpen so she wouldnt have too much contact with out other Husky/Shepherd.
Now that we are letting her run around more we are seeing a problem with her front legs. She doesnt really put her weight flat on her paws but on the outsides of them instead so I guess she is bowlegged?
She doesnt whimper or cry at all when she stands on it but it looks like its bending forward way to much and her leg shakes a little when she stands on it for too long.
We are planning on taking her to the vet very soon but we would like to know if it is normal or not.
thanks in advance |

Bowing of legs in large breeds is common. Typically it arises from them gaining weight too fast and the ligaments and tendons don't have time to strenghten up to compensate for the growth and weight gain. I would suggest making sure she's not too heavy.
Typically exersize and change of diet fixes these problems. |
