I'm in the computer/foster/iso room with the baby gate up. Anna and Danny have been here a week today so I have the baby gate up while I'm on the computer.
Anna has met Zeus through the gate...nice polite nose sniffing.
She met Molly and although a little concerned not overly so.
Anna was trying to figure out how to get over the gate and knocked it over. Normally most cats get scared when it hits the floor, not her she tried to leave the room.
Danny is behind the sofa LOL
but last night I was laying on the sofa reading a book with Anna on the back of my legs and Danny wanted to get up there really bad. He'd put his front paws on my legs and sniff but not dare. After 3x of trying to overcome his fear he just sat on the floor.
but it was huge for him to even get that close |

it is really nice to hear that he is getting better with trusting people.
i was wondering if the baby gate u put up was for the cats or the dog?
cuz i tried putting a baby gate to stop the cats from going in the kitchen and they jump over it so easily....or maybe u have a different kind? |

the baby gate is too keep foster cats in the room and my cats out of the room. But I can usually tell which foster cats are going to abide by the "baby gate rule" these 2 are scared and haven't worked up the courage to leave the room so I know they won't jump the gate. I've had fosters that aren't scared and want to explore and they will jump the gate. I don't even use the gate on those cats - I just move the gate so they have this room and another to explore to satisfy their curiousity.
My cats have seen so many cats come and go from here they are no longer curious. They know there are strange cats on the other side of the gate and it doesn't phase them anymore.
My dog knows she can come in here only when I let her when the gate is up |
