cuz now..when i call Max..both cats come. and when i call Mini..they both come too. Very Happy
when i call mini..i just say Mini Mini. and when calling max i say: come here Max. so..they dont sound the same..but they both come running if i call either names...

Artemis comes when I call either of them (and I call them by MANY different nicknames). Moe only comes when it suits her needs, like she was on her way to the room anyways. Although they both come running if I yell "Squirrel!".

No matter who I call Hoggle always comes running, whining with his tail rapidly wiggling about (just like a spraying cat moves his tail). Other than Hoggle, none of my other cats come when I call someone else.

When Romeo was alive him and Juliet would both come running no matter what names I called. Now that he's gone Juliet will still come running even if I'm calling for my wife's cat, Ink (a.k.a. Mr. Grumpy). However, he rarely comes as he answers to no one and he'll come when he's good and ready. He is just a big, grumpy old man. Rolling Eyes

My kitties know their names pretty well. If I call one, usually only that one comes. Sometimes when I call either Socks or Mittens, no one comes. Mr. Green

If they feel like responding, they actually seem to know their names.

Boris KNOWS that's he's "Bor-Bor" - he comes right away to that name.

Sometimes it's hit and miss where they'll all come, or none at all. But, I've had some luck with them actually responding to their own name.

My cats are doing pretty well with their names...I think the tone of my voice changes a bit from calling Kanga to Lumpy so that helps Smile
But my foster kittens...they hardly ever recognize their name by the time they get adopted out Smile

Neither of my cats come when I call. But open a can of tuna and they appear out of nowhere.

It all depends on their moods. When I call Milo or any other cats, Milo always shows up. Rene, 1/2 the time, Monty, almost never, Pumpkin, 1/4 the time. Open a can of food, or come home from shopping, they all show up. They all know their names including nicknames. They are like kids and have no respect for their meommy. Rolling Eyes

I only have one kitty, but she always comes when I call her unless she's dead asleep.
