During the breeding cycle female birds do become very aggressive towards there mates aswell as other birds.
You could try another male but you would have to keep them seperated for 30days, Then there is still the chance that she will attack him.
Eggs that fail to hatch mean thses 2 birds have not bonded, They have never mated or the male is infertile.
Giving dark leafy greens are a good source of vitamin E which helps fertility.
They both need to be 18months or older and have cuttlefish bone and mineral block in the cage at all times.
They should be given soft foods such as boiled pasta, Boiled brown rice, Wholewheat bread, mashed up boiled eggs.
Fruit and vegtables.
Budgies lay 1 egg every second day with a clutch size of between 4 and 6 sometimes there is more.
Incubation does not start until the 2nd or 3rd egg has been laid and some females do not start incubation until most of the clutch has been laid.
Incubation is 19days, Never remove the eggs even if they are infertile until 25days after the last egg was laid.
Removing eggs that are not fertile before the incubation period is over will promote her to lay more eggs which could result in egg binding which is fatal if not noticed and treated ASAP by an avian vet
