My bird, Lester keeps crashing into things, and I'm worried about him hurting his beak. Considering that a birds beak is an organ. But I'm kinda scared to clip his wings b/c I'm afraid I might clip them the wrong way. Can some one tell me how? K, tx |

Granted, I don't have birds, but I've seen many bird people reccomend having the first trimming done by a vet who can show you the proper way to do it, as some feathers have blood vessels in them that can be clipped. -+ |

These are known as blood feathers the links i have given show exactly where to cut to and if it looks like there is blood in the shaft of the feather you cut below the blood level.
Anyone can clip feathers but like you say its best to be shown by a vet if not confident enough to do it.
