i dont think you can fit any sharks in a 10 gallon..........and we are talking freshwater right?

The smallest possible size to keep a redtailed or a rainbow shark would be a 20 gallon long. These two species are aggressive toward other sharks, so you could only keep 1 shark per tank unless you have a really big tank. The reason they need larger tanks is not their size, but that they need room to swim, and if they don't have it they'll probably die. Don't even consider bala sharks, they need a 75 gallon minimum tank and should be kept in groups of at least 3.

If you're looking for something cool for a 10g, you might want to give shelldwellers a look. They're fairly hardy, and since they need shells it would give you a very different set up than most people would expect in a 10g.
