Hi,
I'm new to these Boards but i have been reading alot of the post and i heard somewhere that an 8 week old Shih Poo Puppy is about the size of a Guinea Pig.... is this true?! If it is We (my parents) are thinking of making a pen out of extra fencing in my backyard till she gets older.
So that she still gets frech air.

Thanks For the help Smile

P.s we have everything ready cept the outdoor sitiuation.

Maybe we should just buy a X-pen -_- Smile(:

I got my Shih-poo at 8 wks and he was 2 pds. He is now 20 wks and is just over 5 pds.

I think the idea of a play pen is great idea, gives you puppy a place to play and keeps her safe.

I live in a new development and we don't have a fenced in yard yet.. so I also made a "play pen" with some plastic temporary fencing.

LOL... be prepared for lots of playfullness! I hope you have the energy to keep up Laughing

My puppy can play all day. He loves children and any other breed of dog, big or small. He is so active that I decided to take him to doggy daycare twice a week. They call him Trouble at the daycare because he is so playful and active.

However, my aunt has a terri-poo and he is very timid. He won't play with anyone outside his family and is very timid.

I guess it depends on the dogs personality and it's important to start socializing them right away. I have Teddy in an 8 week puppy/socializing class. It teaches them how to be playful with other animals and humans.

Hi,

This is my first post. I got a shiha poo 2 weeks ago. At 9 weeks he was 3.5 lbs and now at 11 wks his is 4.5!!! The breeders said he'd be about 8-10 lbs. He is so cute!! He already has learned to sit and play fetch...so I'm assuming he got some poodle smarts there but my fave part of him is his little shih tzu tail!!

I want to include a picture but is it true you have to pay 9.99 a year per picture???

If you would let me know that would be excellent!
Thanks!

you can post pics for free at picturetrail.com (they have a membership version too, make sure you pick the free)

My shihpoo weighed 3.5 at 9 weeks.... They told us he should be around 8 -10 lbs. Well, he's 16!!! Which is big for a shihpoo..
