Hey everyone.. well today I got my first sign of Nitrites so im happy that it is at least doing what it is suppost to do However my question is.. I do not think I will be getting all of my fish at once or even as soon as the cycle is complete.. so Before I get any fish at all.. and the ammonia is all gone should I keep feeding the bacteria with pure ammonia until I get some fish..
and If I only add a few fish at first will they not produce enough ammonia to hold up the colony of bacteria?? Thanks |

Yes, keep adding ammonia until you put fish in there. Afterwards, the number of bacteria might decrease a little to match the output of the 1st batch of fish so when you add more, you might see a mini cycle, but as long as you don't add a whole lot all at once, it shouldn't be too bad.
