Hi all...I am new to aquariums and think I have it figured out (kinda)
I am wondering about how I can find the air content of my water? Or do I have to? I have a filter that drops water into the tank and creates bubbles to disapate surface tension..is this enough? |

| I dont believe that its necessary to test your water for air content, at least I've never heard of that before. As long as there is some break in the surface tension, to create movement, I think that is fine. Most people have "waterfall" filters (the kind that drops water down from an filter than hangs over the side of the tank), so I wouldnt worry. |

| as long as the water is moving at a good and steady rate and the fish dont seem to be having trouble breathing, dont worry about the oxygen |

| The only thing that you should look for is some kind of surface agitation. It is at the surface where there is a air water exchange. No need to measure air in water. The waterfall from your filter is enough, and airstones or air walls only help to increase the water agitation and movement which is a good thing. |
