I can't remember exactly how much I pay for it (I'll let you know when I buy them more next time), but I get it directly from the vet. I always buy an extra box since I have two dogs, and when I do that, I get several (single pkgs) free, so it's definitely worth it!!! On top of that, I always send in the rebate forms as well! Your the best

NOT kidding....... it used to be $11/month, but I asked about six month supplies once he got to a certain weight.

I wonder what the diff is between sentinel and heartgard.....??! I know that poogirl gives her girls sentinel too...... how much does your vet charge, poogirl?

Sentinel is more expensive because it protects against 5 parasites, while heartgard, i think, only prevents 1.

Sentinel and Heargard are slightly different. Both protect against worms, and most importantly, heartworm. However, Sentinel includes protection against fleas in it's oral product. Heartgard strictly prevents and kills the worms. Therefore, if you use Heartgard, you must use another product to prevent fleas. I prefer topical flea protection over oral, thus, I buy Frontline Plus (a topical flea protection). It all boils down to personal preference though!

Monster~

I take back what I said. For some reason I didn't read the Sentinel part of your sentence. I automatically assumed for some reason that you were speaking of Heartgard. So, nevermind, the price you are paying for Sentinel is quite normal! I thought you were paying $50 for HEARTGARD, that's why I was so shocked! Rolling Eyes

Just had to correct myself, thanks! Very Happy
