my cockatiel has lost feathers on her head

She is not acting ill in any way and is happy with her mate. However, she is now bald. Her cage is clean, we give them plenty of lettuce and good fruit to eat, water changed often -- Help appreciated. She is perhaps 7 years old. It is late spring here -- can this be weather related??
