hi i dont know if im meant to do this but i saw this on another forum and i thought i should post it here aswell to help the pit bulls in australia and all the other terrier breeds around.
if its against the rules please delete this message.
also please feel free to put any comments or ideas aswell

To those of you who have already signed the petition, thank you for your support.

For those of you who haven't heard about it yet - 5 bull terriers were wrongly removed from a Qantas flight, as they were incorrectly identified as pit bulls. The owners were not even told their dogs were being removed, and they arrived home in Adelaide to find no dogs were with them. An 8-week-old and a pregnant bitch were among the 5 dogs removed and left dehydrated in Melbourne.

Therefore, we are asking that Qantas remove breed bans and instead have proper dog-crate requirements, in line with the recent decision by American Airlines.
This will prevent any future recurrence of such a debacle ever happening again, whether to a pedigree dog or otherwise. All dogs are loved by their owners and deserve proper care during flights. We don't have enough signatures on this petition, so please if you have not signed it, do so, and cross post this to as many people as you can.

Qantas has not responded to the very polite letter written by the Bull Terrier Club, and they need to know that the dog owning community will not be treated with such disdain and willful ignorance.
