Recently we adopted a cat from Pets smart about two weeks ago. She's a cute little 2 year old tabby that I noticed looked rather skinny when we met her, but I ignored that thinking all cats were skinny coming from a shelter.
Now the problem is for these two weeks the poor thing hasn't ate, drunk, or cleaned herself. She's only used her litter box twice and this is only small little poops.
We thought she was in shock from the new move but when trying to coax her with hand food she accepted happily only to give a squeal of pain and drop it.
Of course we should take her to the vet and we're planning a visit but is there anyone who has gone through this or had a similar problem with a cat? We're trying the mulitple food trick to see if she bites but she hasn't even touched her water as well.
We don't want to lose our new cat!!. |

| she will definitly need to see the vet asap....sounds like she could have an obstruction....in her intestines or stomach and that is pretty serious..have you ckd out her mouth..does she maybe have a sore or a cut...this also may make it hard for her to eat....but i would get her to the vet asap |

Going to a vet is your only recourse. Also, if you adopted her from PetSmart, you're required to do a vet follow up visit anyway. You signed an agreement to do so.
If the kitty isn't eating or drinking, they will die within days. Get her to a vet immediately or take it to a shelter that will care for her. Please don't let her die. |

vet vet rule of thumb is to not let a cat go more then 48 hours of not eating and it's been 2 weeks?
this cat needs a vet now |
