tumor removed from her mouth yesterday.
She's now 14 years old and last week I noticed her doing this really strange tooth gnashing thing. I figured she had a bad tooth which needed to come out and she refused to let me look in her mouth - so off to the vet.
He got her mouth open and there was a large mass growing off the lower right gumline near her tongue. Looked like a freakish 2nd tongue.
They did send some of it out for biopsy and I will hopefully know by Friday if it's benign or not. If it's not it won't be good.
They also did a dental and I'm surprised she didn't lose any teeth. She has only had to have one tooth pulled so far in her life - she's been lucky as Siamese are notorious for having dental problems.
I'm so hoping it's benign. I'm told it came off quite easily so wasn't a deeply rooted thing so that's hopeful.

Hi. Wow. I hope she'll be okay. Poor girl. Good thing you are so on top of it and always bring them to the vet when you think something just isn't quite right. Keep us posted.

Poor Missy. At least the tumor is gone now and it's good it wasn't deeply rooted. Keep us posted on the biopsy results. Hopefully it is benign.
