Yep, my baby boy isnt such a baby anymore He weighed in at 93.3lbs on Wednesday. He probably would have topped out over 100lbs this weigh in had he not gotten sick (allergic reaction to corn). Still a complete lover boy, thinks he's a lap dog and recently figured out how to get on my bed. Who needs a dog bed when you can crawl into mom & dads Tempurpedic? Most mornings the hubby leaves for work and I wake up with the pup snuggled up next to me.
While his Kong is too small for unsupervised chewing, its perfect for his evening "snack". I fill it sometime before noon each day and its given to him around 8pm. He enjoys his treat in the living room while Im close by either reading, crocheting or watching TV. Once he's finished (about 9pm), the Kong is cleaned and put away for the next day.
He's really not a "chewy" puppy, especially now that we're past the teething phase. When he wants something to chew he goes for his tug rope or one of his plush squeakies...which we've had for several months and have only needed very minor repairs. It's VERY rare to catch him chewing inappropriately or find damage because of inappropriate chewing. |
