Honey Chippers

A delicious alternative to an unhealthy cookie. You get a bonus too.......... they taste great! Think

1/3 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of honey (if you buy the honey make sure all it has in it is honey!)
1 egg (well beaten)
1 1/4 cup of flour (shifted)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of chopped desired nuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream shortening. Add honey in fine stream, creaming together until light and fluffy. Add egg; mix thoroughly. Shift flour, salt and baking soda together. Add chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla; mix. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in 375-degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool and enjoy! Very Happy
