uh oh panic attack

Catnip (foster) is the sweetest most people-oriented kitty I've taken care of in awhile. Not a cat kinda cat, nor dog for that matter, but people she adores.
Had to take her to the vet this morning and discovered she also doesn't adore her crate, or the ride. But the wound on my hand is healing nicely so all's good Your the best

Vet exam revealed a nice healthy 10 year old girl and the lump we were concerned about is simply from a vaccine. I have to watch it but it should go down in time.
Since Catnip most likely won't/can't be integrated into my own cat population (she has peeing issues when living with others) I bought a cheapo screen thing that hooks up to the door frame with velcro. This way, even though she's segrated into one room, she can feel she has more space. Hopefully some day she might be able to come out for short visits - perhaps when Molly's out for a walk I can put the cats in other rooms and give Catnip some freedom.
I went home for lunch and the screen door was down (ZEUS!!!!) and Catnip was missing. Molly dawg tried to play GSD search and rescue dog but I couldn't get her to take the shoe out of her mouth long enough to bother (she greets everyone with a shoe).
So I followed Zeus - he's such a tease.
Took me about 1/2 hour to get Catnip out from behind the water pump in our basement. Couldn't scruff her cause she was so scrunched up, treats were enticing her....I got her. Finally

Oh my Mary sounds like you've had an interesting time with Catnip.
Back when my meezer Jasmine was alive I rescued her from certain death I took her home in a carrier. Well I started to back out of the space and put it into drive and she started throwing a fit and bounced around in the carrier and knocked it down into the passenger floorboard!!! Crying or Very sad

so i parked the car and righted the carrier and opened the door and she came out shook it off and curled up in the seat and just looked at me like "I want to be here not in that cage mom!!". I'm glad that the lump is nothing serious. Poor Catnip wonder how long she hide there.... Sad

What a story Mary...

I'm glad Catnip is healthy. I'm sorry you got injured. If anyone can get her integrated with the rest of the household, it'll be you! Good job being patient and getting her out!
