Mary_NH. Thank you for the good laugh before I go to bed. Your pic put a big smile on my face. Too funny. That's one for the photo contest.

as far as we know Molly is all GSD. Her tail has a curl but my vet thinks it might be due to a shortened tendon.
Her story....we had lost a 14 year old white Shepherd, Sadie, 2 years ago this previous October. I belong to a dog board where I got a lot of help with Sadie's last couple of years and her health issues. She probably survived 2 years longer than she should have (says my vet).
About a month after Sadie passed I posted that I was thinking about getting another dog (didn't want a puppy).
One of the board members had been fostering a litter of GSD pups. Their mom was picked up off the streets of Detroit, MI very pregnant. She was a full GSD. She gave birth the day after she was brought to her foster home. She had 7 puppies - all gorgeous GSDs. At the time I was ready the foster had 4 of the pups left (mom too had been adopted). She asked me if I'd like one of the pups if we could arrange transport. I jumped at the chance and she sent me a picture of the remaining pups and I choose the only female left.
Her son lives in New York state. He went home for Thanksgiving and when he went home we met him in Plattsburg (we live in NH).
Molly was with us 2 years this past Thanksgiving.
shortly after that someone contacted the shelter where Molly's mom was contracted to. They had lost a very pregnant GSD when they were camping that previous summer of Molly's mom being picked up. They had been searching all over (so they claimed) and contacting shelters all through the area. IT seems their "prized purebred pregnant bitch" had wandered quite far from where they were camping or was stolen and she got away. Unfortunately for them the time frame was up and they no longer had any claim to the mom or her pups. They just wanted to be sure they all ended up in good homes and were either spayed or neutered. Which they were.
