Dog Bed Wetting Question

Hey everyone, I'm new here and need some advice...I've got a 16 week old American/English Bulldog pup....He's stubborn as hell in regards to house breaking. He has no problem with doing number 2 outside all the time but he just doesn't seem to get it as far as urinating outside all the time...Any advice on that one.

Next, which is the really big issue....the past 4 nights, he's urinated in his crate. For some reason, he's not alerting me that he has to go out, as he was (was barking and whimpering to go out). It keeps happening sometime between midnight and 5am. I'm wondering if he's developed a bladder infection or if puppies have bed wetting issues kinda like kids.

The breeder I got him from in Georgia didn't socialize/bond with pups and really didn't have them out of the cages they were in...I knew going into this he would be rough to house break but the wetting in the cage started out of no where.

Anyone have any insight on this?

I would be on the safe side and take him in for a check up. Puppies can get UTI's and that often causes frequen urinating and urinating without having the timeand urge to tell you.

Also any time you can not watch him, be sure to crate him. that way you eliminate any chances of him being able to urinate in the house...
