| We have an 8 month old mutt (part lab, part boarder collie, part who knows what else) named Brody that we adopted from the shelter. He's very smart and potty trained within the first few weeks and hasn't had an accident in over five months. We moved 3 weeks ago, and we were worried if he would regress with the potty training because he didn't know where to go, or was upset with the change etc. We showed him the door, and he did just fine- he still went to the door and whined or nudged the door knob with his nose when he wanted to go out, just as he did in the old house. Today, 3 weeks after we've moved in, he's urinated on the floor all day. He went to the door once today to poop outside, but that's it. What could be causing my dog to suddenly start to urinating on the floor? We've been told it could be a bladder infection, but he doesn't act sick or any different than usual. We've also had visitors all week. My husbands parents were in town, and they just left yesterday. Someone told us that could have to do with it as well, that maybe he feels he hasn't gotten a lot of attention with them being here, or he's marking their territory because they were here. HELP! What's causing it? We don't know how to get him to stop! |
