I thank everyone (Angel had the final post) for the kind words and advice.
Now, it happened again. My female budgie also flew away on 31 Jul 2007 because I forgot to close the cage door. She must have gone out due to curiosity. My first budgie didn't come back. And I don't think my second budgie is able to come back too because she had poor sense of direction. Now I miss her morning chirp. The cage is still hanging there. It is so empty without her.
Although I already knew what my mistake was and I have written an article for myself on how to keep a budgerigar, I will not buy another budgie in the near future. Plus my friend said she would give me her bird when she leaves the country. |
