my husband has two red belly piranas and they're usually beutiful but all of a sudden after we feed them a rather large meal they loose all of their red! why did this happen and should I worry? Embarassed

Not sure, but it would help to rule out something serious . . .
How big is the tank?
What fish are in it - if anything - besides the 2 piranhas?
How big are the fish?
What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?
What are you feeding them?
Is it just after eating that they loose their color?
