Ok. So the girls are in the house relaxing.. and of course, as usual every toy in the toy box is drug out and scattered across the living room floor. I'm carrying my laundry basket, and thought i stepped clear over the wiggly giggly ball, obviously not... I flew backwards. and BOOM!!! busted my but...

So take caution!!! Dog toys = bruised hiney!!!

LOL I am sitting here laughing. Its funny to picture but not funny if you are the person with the "Cracked butt" Sorry!

A few weeks ago I was doing teaching with an owner who owned a bull dog with an extreme prey drive.

The dog loved to play with balls, anyway, I told the owner to focus the dog on the ball, well he did, however, he threw the ball and the training lead was wrapped around my ankle (the owner never looked just threw the ball) I am a small frame and actually got thrown up into the air and then dragged about 15 feet until "Gypsy" found her ball and then stopped!
I had a very bad sprain and a wonderful deep rope burn on my ankle too!

I did finish the lesson but was feeling pretty bad! I honestly had tears in my eyes and thought I would need to go to the hospital, I did not and ended up being fine!

As hurt as I was, I honestly had wished someone had a video of it cause it would have made the perfect blooper video cause watching it sure would have been funny!

Hope you are feeling better!
Have a drink on me!

Sue

Laughing This is a good thread (I needed a bit of a laugh today...not at anyones expense but you know what I mean).

My Rotts favourite ball was unfortunately my 9# bowling ball, had a couple of bad bruises on my legs from her hurling it around, I had to confiscate it though when one day she flung it across the living room and almost squished my chihuahua with it Shocked

Then there was Sam, a huge retreiver that came in for training, he had a major ball obsession so every time I took him into the training field I had to do a 'toy sweep' and make sure there were no balls laying around, one day I was working on his recall, he was doing great, unfortunately though I had not seen a tennis ball in a little clump of grass behind me, he was running right to me then spotted the ball, slightly diverted and 110# of dog took me clean off my feet and about 7 feet in the air, landed face down in the mud....of course then I have a very excited Sam jumping all over me to throw the flippin ball for him again...I was not happy....as above though, probably would have been hilarious had someone been there to get it on video

Do what my mom did...she taught both her dogs to put their toys away when they finished playing with them, they had loads of fun getting one out....putting it back....getting one out....putting it back, when my daughter was a toddler she kept losing her toys...they turned up in the dogs toy box. Shocked
