This Padding with there feet and claws..Tiff really does it hard into my tummy lol.. Its like shes kneeding bread..Shes bad for it, I cant cuddle her on my lap because she insists on doing it all the time..Even if I put her feet and claws down she'l bring them back up again ..
She wants to be on my lap all the time but I cant let her when she does this, she rips into my shirts and skin..It actually hurts..
Any ideas on how to stop her from doing it, I know when there kittens they do it with there mother when feeding, so its a natural behavior, Jay my big boy doesnt do this, hes happy to cuddle and sit there on your lap.. |

I have only one cat who insists on kneading on us (and on my yarn when I'm knitting). But her former owner had her declawed so it's not as painful but you'd be surprised when she gets going the cartilidge that's left behind can hurt too.
I don't know if you can stop this natural behavior. Maybe put a pillow on you or fold up a towel and let that be the kneaded object instead of you |

My Socks loves to knead, too, and it can hurt.
I put a cloth of some kind like a blanket or towel over where she is kneading and it doesn't hurt then. She likes to knead my arm while lying in bed next to me so I grab my robe and put it over my arm so it doesn't hurt.
I think it's cute when kitties knead. |

Kyrre also does this, but only on blankets and such, never on me. He also likes to "nurse" on the blanket, and have done this so much that the blanket in his bed is full of holes I think it's an instinct from when they where kittens and drank milk from their mom. |
