Goldfish don't really get lonely, so you don't need to buy a new one. In fact, with one of your fish dying and the other acting as though it's sick, I would hold off on buying another one until you figure out what the problem is. It's very unlikely that your fish is trying to lay eggs.
Your best bet is to change about 1/3 of the water in the tank -- making sure you remove the chlorine with water conditioner. After the water change, see if McMurray gets a little more active. |

| I have goldfish as well and have looked them up quite a bit. Do you know what kind of fish it is? But I agree.. don't get another fish until you figure out why your black moore died and why this one is acting funny. He could have swim bladder problems. Does he eat? What are your water params? Meaning: what is your ammonia level, nitrates, nitrites, ph. I know of a site that could help you better actually. I'm also a member on that site as well. it's call http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/ I KNOW they could help you out alot. And they will also recomend you not buying another fish right now. Also, how big is your tank? |
