When I was visiting my Grandmother in Wyoming last month she was teaching me how to quilt. I thought I would start with something small and managable for my first one and decided to make a little 9 patch quilt for Vianne. Now that I'm home and since I don't have my own sewing machine yet, I have been doing the actual quilting part (connecting the front to the back) by hand. This is taking quite a long time and Vianne is getting very impatient! Just wanted to share some cute pics
Here is the top piece so you can get an idea of what it is going to look like. This pic was taken before I attached all the pieces together tho.
And here is my baby girl draped over the back of my chair sneaking a nap on the unfinished product, pins and all!! LOL
Once I'm done, I want to get her one of those cute little 4-poster metal framed pet beds to put the quilt on I've already purchased a bunch more adorable fabrics so now i have to come up with more ideas for stuff to make her!
whoops! on the double post....my internet was giving me attitude! |

The quilt looks beautiful. Your kitty seems to love it already even before it is finished. Thanks for sharing your adorable pictures. |

I wish I had the patience to do that! I'd give up after the first patch!
It looks like it's coming together nicely - looks great! |

I've done that too. I did delete the other identical post.
Very nice pics! She is so cute. That's great you have a new healthy hobby that you seem to be enjoying. |

Thanx guys I can't wait til i get my own machine. I could whip out a whole other one of these in just a few days! I'm so happy she seems to like it already. Everytime i have it out, she comes over and plops her furry little butt on it, lol. I have to be careful tho, cuz no matter how much i push her off, she keeps coming back over to lay on it and i don't want her to get stuck on one of the pins. It is cute how she's kind of "hugging" it in one of the pics tho |
