So a little off subject here. I was making some home make kolaches and sausage rolls, and while I was kneading the dough, I had a though that I'll start baking doggie treats!! So i made a batch, (totoally and 100% al natural no preservaties, home made by my dough sticky hands!! LOL) they pop outta the oven and are on the counter next to the rolls and Kolaches, and Granvel comes home and grabs him a few!!! Now I'm not sure if the doggie bone shape was a clue or not, but he didn't seem to care! He thought they were AWSOME! So three kolaches, and a few sausage rolls later, he's lying on the floor and moaning that he ate too much and says that I should start selling them. Now this was HIS idea!! I was just making them for my dogs. he said they can be for dogs and their peoples treat!!!
Anyhow. So I've set upa link on my website for ppl to place orders. My dogs devoured the ENTIRE batch and Cali keeps scouring the floor looking for more crumbs. LOL.. |

thanks. I made little doggie bone bisquites. With chicken in them and a few with ham. Cali REALLY liked the ones with cheese. I'm going to try and make some veggie ones this week as well. I'm really enjoying all this. It takes all the stress out of me.
I've never made kolaches or sausage rolls before, so it was really an experiance. I didn't expect the dough to rise as much as it did, and it ended up quadrupling in size. I NOW understand why the recipe said to use a LARGE bowl!! LOL
Good think I did as it said!. The dough ball was the size of a cantelope, then after an hour, it was the size of a beach ball!!! LOL... I punched it down, and it got huge again!! It was a blast! |
