sing my Sadie dawg over the bridge.
I had to let her go this afternoon. Very very hard after her being my friend for almost 12 years.
Her spleen had a tumor on it (undiagnosed but suspected by me and her vet). Her spleen had become very enlarged and apparently sometime this morning it flipped over. Blood was going into the spleen but not coming out.
I came home at 10am and she was fine. Came home at lunch, after going to the vet to buy her dog food and some eye ointment for my new foster. I wasn't goign to come home - but I did. I knew she was in trouble her belly was huge.
She passed quickly as I held her. Once the vet injected the solution Sadie was gone in about 10 seconds.
I felt bad my son and husband never got to say goodbye to her - but she wouldn't have survived the afternoon. Her spleen would have ruptured.
So goodbye to my beautiful dog...she is missed there is a vast hole in this house tonight. |

| I'm so sorry Mary. Sadie Dawg was definitely a part of these cat forums. I know I followed along with all your stories of her and I'm sadden to hear she's gone. I'm sure she's out of pain now and happy that you held her as she passed. I'm so sad for you. |

| I am also very sorry for your loss. It is always such a difficult thing to go through. Know that love surrounds her now just as it did here on earth. |

I agree. Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. This post made me so sad. Although I have never met Sadie dog in peron, I certainly felt like I knew her through all of your posts and pics. I'd like to think she is in peace right now at Rainbow Bridge perhaps playing with some of our wonderful fur animals that have passed on as well.
How are you and your family holding up Mary? Again, I am just so sorry for your loss. I'm going to miss Sadie Dog a lot too. She was certainly a lucky girl to have found a forever home with such kind people. |

| I'm so sorry Mary. I've been crying over the loss of Sadie on and off all day. She is like part of our family. I think we've all come to know her well through your posts and it must have been extremely difficult for you to have her pts by youself. *HUGS* Sadie is free of all pain + suffering and is watching over you at the rainbow bridge. One day you will be together again. You are blessed to have had her all these years. She was a beautiful dog. |

oh mary...im really sorry that sadie is gone. i know you loved her dearly, as we all did here on the forum. she was a part of this family too. it just breaks my heart to hear these things. you were such a good mom to her, and she was able to live two years longer...because of you. how are your other little fur babies doing? how deeply saddened i am to hear about this...

thanks....we're doing well. Hard to let 11.5 year go though. My husband had pizza the other night and saved his crust - pizza bones - LOL for Sadie then he realized she wasn't there to eat them.
Stuff like that - it's just hard to let the little things go. |

i know mary...
i was the same way with otis...who was sooo special. he was almost twenty, and my buddy. i just put his picture in a frame the other day, and set it next to my bed. i had the picture there, just not in a frame. he used to sleep by my head next to the pillow, so ive always needed his picture to be there...
but, just know that im thinking of you... |
