I have a young ringneck about 10mths old, I am feeding him fresh veggies and fruit, but all he seems to do is bite it and spit it out, is this normal and is he getting enough nutrients that he needs. He is very much loved and is given as much attention as I can give him. I also supply him with seed, nuts and chillis.

Aslong as he is on a good quality seed diet he will be fine.
As for the fruit and veggies what i do with my birds is first thing on a morning i remove the food dishes for a few hours and only put in fresh fruit and veg chopped up eventually they learn its ok and good for them.

If he is hand tame you could wright him daily and keep a record of his weight any drop in weight just increase his seed intake.
