My daughter and I are leaving Friday night and my husband isn't getting home until Sunday very early in the morning. I was planning to have someone come in Saturday morning to feed the birds (finches, doves, canary).
My question is this. The birds do not eat at night. Even before it is fully dark, they are all quietly sitting on their perches and don't move around again until morning. What if I give them new food at night before we go? Will they ignore it and eat it in the morning, thereby making it unnecessary to have someone come by to feed them? Or is it safer to just find someone to come over?
Also, on an unrelated note - Jack the canary is singing again!! I heard him start to sing several times over the last few weeks and then he would pretend that it wasn't him. But last Friday he started singing quietly and now he is back to belting out songs at all times of the day. Woohoo! |
