| Hi princessjen, Vision acuity and sense of smell varies with different fish. Some see very well and others can hardly see but have a strong sense of smell. We noticed with Snowflake Moray Eels, when we placed feeder fish in the tank they immediately started looking for them but couldn't see them until they were right on top of them. This indicated that they had a strong sense of smell but couldn't see very well. |

yea like was mentioned, it all verys, Some of my fish get spooked with fast movments because they see well, the ones that done see well just sit there wondering why everyone else is moving.
Just do research on the type of fish you have.
O and azn, theres no point in replying to a post when alll you have to say is "I dont know" |

Yo, check out the article in the "toxins" issue of National geographic (May I think).
It's all about reef-dwellers' vision. Damsels actually have functioning UV vision, whereas many fish can't even see the color red. Octopi have some of the most sophisticated color displays under the ocean but are actually color-blind themselves...
It's actually pretty rad. |
