today i just got minows and my pirahna just bit the back half off 2 of them and the head part is just siting there and i dont know if he will eat it or if i should take it out.

You should take it out just because all its going to do in there is rott and create high ammonia levels. Once the flesh starts to rott, he wont touch it.
