I have a 1 year old male Basset Hound named Moochie. And he is such a love and keeps life interesting with my three other dogs. He is high matience surprisingly enough. I have to clean between his wrinkles everyday to avoid infection and keep his ears clean. He can be energetic but he also sleeps the most out of all of us in the house lol. He can be stubborn and a pain at times but i love him and he's great fun Smile. Just wondered if anyone else on here was owned by a Basset?

If I could have my pack of dream dogs, A bsset Hound would definitely be a first choice, but I never knew you need to clean out between the folds! Maybe I'll give them a 2nd thought. I just love the way their personalities seem like when you want them to run and play they can, but then they are perfectly happy to lay around and not do anything. You might also want to check on regular dog forum (although I can't think of anyone there with a bh.) bc although BH are short, they aren't considered small dogs bc the weigh so much. Nice to meet you! DO you have any pictures/
