Hey everyone.. I noticed that some fish such as the opaline gourami requires flake food,, is there any difference in feeding them pellets? Or do I need to get and get flakes?? THanks.. he seems to be eating it but he just puts it in his mouth and spits it out over and over eventually eating it..

The pellets i feed my fish require like alot of preasure to break. The guramis is probably waiting till its soft enough to bit into. Most cichlid pellets have lots of protien and i dont think guramis need that much.

If you're going to get danios I've found that with my danios they do better on flakes. I have "Micro Granules" (a lot smaller than pellets) and I've found they have a hard time eating them.

If you're going to get african dwarf frogs, you should get pellets specifically for them (HBH makes some).
