Has any one ever heard of a red nosed Staffordshire Terrier? I always thought if the dog had a red nose it was a pit. I've never met a Staff with a red nose. But it came up in conversation and was just wondering what other people thought. IP: Logged |

Sure there are rednose AmStaffs, (I mean they are originally pit bulls, right?) But you don't see too many of them in the AKC because in the AKC standard, they're nose color is considered a "fault". Since a red nose is considered a fault, breeders will mostly cull any rednoses that are born. Meaning, they will give away or sell their rednoses spayed/neutered as pets only, so they cannot reproduce the same. So after all these years of culling red noses, you don't see many around. With that said, there has been a few really great looking rednose AmStaffs who have actually Championed in AKC. ------------------ IP: Logged |
