howdy,i have tried feeding my parakeets shredded carrots and they dont like them what else can i try to feed them. i dont want them on a seed diet their whole life.

have you tried to chop them up??
carrots are the only veggie my birds will eat they love them choped up
I can also put a whole carrot in there cage & they will naw It to nothing In a few hours


in this photo you can see a carrot piece in sunshine's mouth
also try & get them to eat pellets an all seed diet Is not good for them

Hi. When introducing veggies its always better to do so in a small food dish either grated or chopped some birds take to them others just wont.

When ever you have the birds out of there cage simply show them some veggies in your hand eventually they will take to them if they want to eat them.
