What is there to know about Baby Guppies?

My female just recently gave birth and didn't know about it and was doing a monthly cleaning of my tank and in the last bit of water left, I found a Baby guppy that I had not found before.
Everybody has been put back in the tank, including the baby, for I have no where else to put it, except I can not find the baby anywhere.
Would the baby hide in my collection of plants, or would it even go far enough to hide in some of the gravel?
Also, in my tank I have an alge eater, male and female bettas, male and female guppies, empiral tetra and 5 neons.
Is there any chance of it still being alive and hiding in the plants and gravel, or is the above variety of fish too much of a threat and that it has probably become dinner?

If you have lots of plants for the fry to hide in, chances are a few out of a batch will survive. Most of them, however will end up getting eaten. If you don't mind being overrun with guppies, get another tank to put the fry in until they're big enough to not get eaten by the other fish in the main tank. Otherwise, just leave them in the main tank and let them take their chances.

Just a thought but if you really want to preserve the fry you might want to turn your filter off for a while. They can get sucked up in there quite easily.

NO! Don't turn the filter off. If the filter isn't running the ammonia will build up. Instead of turning off the filter, you can get a sponge pre-filter to go on the intake or just take a pice of pantyhose and put it over the intake.

Sorry I meant to get another form of filtration like a sponge or one of those corner filters that you hook up to just an air pump and turn the big filter off. It was late, oops!
