Yesterday I bought 2 tiger Oscars from the local pet store. They are Black and cream of colour. After doing some research on the net I only found black and red tiger oscars. Are these that I bought real tiger oscars or not? IP: Logged |

they could be a red oscar, or sometimes they dont always have stripes and may just be a plain black one or a plain albino one.it just depends on how they wer bred. IP: Logged |

These are the most commmon varieties of oscars: Lutino - generally comes in 4 forms. One is commonly referred to as an albino (true albinos NO dark orange and VERY rare) and is available in the red or tiger colorations: Common/Wildtype (basically looks like a tiger oscar, but has very little orange) Veiltailed/long finned(comes in all color variations) My guess is yours is a common oscar. -Chelle IP: Logged |
