I have a 10 gallon tank with some adopted cichlids. The tank water is cloudy. I change the filter regularly and vacume the rocks with a water change. It will clear up then cloud up again. I also have trouble keeping an algea eater (pleco), the fish eat'em. Advice? IP: Logged |

What types of cichlids and how many are in the tank? How often do you change the water? ------------------ IP: Logged |

if you change the filter carteges alot that means your losing your biological filtration!! And it sound like you dint let your tank cycle completeley so do water changes and rinse your filter but not al of the media becuse the bacteria that eats the "floaties" isnt astablished in the filter yet good luke keep up the water changes!!! and how much are you feeding them?? and how many is a big factor it should go away in like 3-4 days ------------------ IP: Logged |

What are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte)? I have a feeling your tank is overstocked which could be causing the cloudy water. -Chelle IP: Logged |
