How many do you have?
If you cut the tails of the feeders it's easier for the piranha to catch them. They like that. Stand far away from the tank too. If I'm to close my piranha will tend to hide. They are a very shy fish that happen to have big sharp teeth.

Aggressive piranhas are usually starving piranhas. P's are shy fish and will not "frenzy" (which is what I think you are looking for) until they have a combination of food deprivation and blood in the water. Many people who purchase piranhas because of their "ferocity" are disappointed because they turn out to be pretty mellow, and dare I say, a boring fish. They are pretty ugly too. They have a reputation as the "pit bulls" of the fish kingdom but this is largely undeserved. I've noticed that the same kind of people who buy pit bull dogs to enhance their "cool" often purchase piranhas for the same reason.

If you really want to experience "the circle of life" where bigger fish eat smaller ones, I would recommend an insectivorus/carnivorus Mexican/Central/South American cichlid such as a Jack Dempsey, Green Terror, Red Terror, Severum, Jaguar Cichlid, or Oscar. These fish are far "cooler" than any piranha ever will be and have much more personality. Also, they won't tear quarter sized chunks out of your arm when you have to stick your arm in the tank for any reason.

good luck.
