Boys and girls, any ideas? My poor fighting fish, named Bruiser, has matted fins. It's just like when the girl friend goes camping and doesn't wash her long hair. Wee Bruiser looks like he's trying to grow dreads. Everything seems fine, water, food (though he's never seemed hungry, ever!), other community fish don't harrass him. I dunno. Maybe he just wants some company, should I get him some girlies to play with? Also, he loves digging and exploring small spaces (especial those that he can't really fit in). Is that normal? What a nutter. Other than that, he seems fine. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey, thanks. Do you know how this is caused? How do I help avoid this? IP: Logged |

I really don't know how it is caused, just how to get rid of it . IP: Logged |

Cheers tuttifrutti, I'll wander by the ol' fish shop and see what they've got. Many thanks. IP: Logged |

Hi Sean, Clamped fin is due to water conditions, usually decaying uneaten food. It is most closely associated with fin and tail rot. IP: Logged |
