i am in the process of moving my pacu from a 90 gallon to a 150 gallon. i want him to be in the same conditions in th 150 that he is the 90. do i need to only bring over the same filters, or the same rocks. or some of the same water. whaich one can i get away with. please le tme know, thank you. Use the same filter without rinsing or cleaning it, this will give you the bacteria you need. Rocks shouldn't really matter you'll be using the filter. As for the water test your ph right out of the tap then test your tank if you get different readings then I would use the water too. I would in that case do a large water change from the top of the 90 don't suck any dirt then add it to the 150 repeat that in two days if that doesn't fill the 150 you could probably just top it off with tap. then move your fish and the filter at the same time. If the ph is the same you might want to go ahead and use at least some of the water anyways. ------------------ IP: Logged |
