I just wanted to let all of you that responded to my previous post about sending Zeus off to a professional trainer for three weeks that I did not send him. I have been training him on my own at home and he has mastered sit, down, come (on first call), and we are working on stay. (he just doesn't have the will power to do it, since he has been at my heel since I got him. It is really hard for him to not stay put.) He is almost doing a perfect heel offleash, but he thinks it's a "tractor-pull" when he is on leash. Just thought all of you that were very concerned would like to know. IP: Logged |

Hi! Thanks for the update! I was one of the ones that thought sending him off was o.k. as long as you trusted the person. Not too many people agreed with me on that though. Sounds like you're doing pretty good on your own with him. Keep up the good work! Susan IP: Logged |

Great news, ROttieZues! I was wondering what you had decided. I still think sending him off for 3 weeks would have been fine, though, if it was a good person. I don't agree with the "simple" part - perhaps kyles101 has a simpler life than we do, RottieZeus! Nala is doing very well, but I know she would be much further ahead if I had more time with her. It's hard to work on things when you are exhausted. And I find proofing to be very tedious and annoying, and it's the most important part.
