My dachshund is just about 13 wks old, just got his last shot last week, and since I live in the city, I have not taken him out yet. I have him trained pretty well to be going on the wee wee pad, but now I want to start the transition to no more bathroom in my apartment! Any tips???

I believe this summer someone was in a very similar situation. I did a search to try to find the thread but I couldn't find it. Maybe someone else can remember more about it and point you to it.

Do you live on the ground floor? Just keep moving the pee pads towards the door, then out onto your patio (assuming that you'll be going out that way for him to pee). If not, then I'd remove the pee pads altogether and basically start over with taking him outside every hour or whatever and praising him when he goes outside. If he goes inside, startle him and rush him outside. Praise for finishing outside. Something like that.
