Would any of you be willing to act as my references for an application for adopting an Aussie rescue dog? Maisey? Jas? There are a couple I am looking at and I want to get the paperwork out of the way. They want two references from people who are not family who are familiar with "my experience as a pet owner". I could probably use my agility trainer and vet, but who better than you guys really knows how I handle my pets? If you are willing, they want to know a daytime phone and an evening phone and the best time to call. Please e-mail me at jamia_w@hotmail.com if you want to do this for me. I only need two, so perhaps post here that you are e-mailing me. And if no one wants to give out their personal info, then I understand completely and I will just use my trainer and vet!

good news Jimiya, glad to hear your husband is letting you go ahead with another dog. Is this the same one you have had your eye on? Honeybear IP: Logged |

LMAO! Look how you assume her husband has said "ok",...did he? I would be happy to give a reference, but I wonder if they will be ok with the fact that I have never seen your home or actually met you. Let me know what I have to fill out or what you need. I'm still giggling...what happened to the mellow Golden? You have fallen for the herding breeds,I love it! IP: Logged |

Hehe, yeah the one I got wasn't one of the ones in rescue. He was in a shelter, poor guy. My husband said yes over the phone to the shelter people. He's not happy. He'll get over it! Although the aussie in Iowa that is a frisbee dog might have helped him. But this guy is a good dog and we'll get him figured out. I do wonder if I should have gone to meet the Golden in rescue here. Five year old guy, ignores cats, knows obedience. I do love Goldens. They are a lot bigger than Nala, though, and while I think they would have got along just fine, she seemed so well-matched with the guy I got. Sheesh. I need to name him!
